Desperate Man Blues

Desperate Man Blues

Desperate Man Blues is streaming for a very limited time in its entirety (without the DVD extras) on Pitchfork TV. In this film director Edward Gillen tells the story of renowned 78 collector Joe Bussard. His library of 25,000+ rare sides– blues, gospel, folk, and more– forms an essential archive of American music from the 1920s and 30s.

  1. I watched this last night and it was really good. This guy is DIGGING! This guy drives all around the country looking for old records. If they’re not from before the 40s, he doesn’t care about them.

  2. amazing post! I would give up rap right now and spen my time collecting for 25 percent of the collection homies rocking!
