awesome.
so whats the story on this.
why didn’t they make it a real album and not a free download?
why did busta get to spit on these and not someone else?

not necessarily, because jay dilla was doing remixes for busta since ‘96 or ‘97.

ummah did 1 track on busta’s first album. and when the ummah gets credit you can never tell which of the members actually did the beat, even though rumour is dilla did the majority of ummah credited production.
if he did a bunch of remixes that makes sense. i haven’t followed busta rhymes since his second album.

Busta’s probably just cashing in on Dilla’s appeal right now, but they have worked on shit together for years, there’s a Dilla joint on the big bang.

Busta Rhymes has been working with Jay Dee for some time now. Since his first album. And you can see which joints Dilla produced cause you have to see the credits where it says (J. Yancey). Here’s what him and busta have worked on…
1. Still Shining ( The Coming ) 1996
2. Keep It Moving ( The Coming ) 1996
3. So Hardcore ( When Disaster Strikes ) 1997
4. Enjoy Da Ride ( Anarchy ) 2000
5. Live It Up ( Anarchy ) 2000
6. Show Me What You Got ( Anarchy ) 2000
7. Genesis ( Genesis ) 2001
8. Make It Hurt ( Genesis ) 2001
9. It Ain’t Safe No More ( It Ain’t Safe No More ) 2002
10. What Up ( It Ain’t Safe No More ) 2002
11. Turn Me Up Some ( It Ain’t Safe No More ) 2002
12. You Can’t Hold The Torch ( The Big Bang ) 2006
Not to mention the remixes he has done for him and that one track off Slum Village’s Fantastic Vol. 2. “What It’s All About”. So pretty much when Busta had an album going down, Jay Dee was part of it. Only exception was Extinction Level Event. Don’t know why he didnt do a joint on that one.
