In the age of internet collaborations it’s shockingly refreshing to hear such a raw and intimately crafted project from a duo. Hooks are replaced with incantations, vocals are spit in unison or traded over bars. Shotgun Howling is void of pretense, Fishh and Honey have merged as one. The stripped down production perfectly fits; dank grime and dust are elevated by accordion and strings. This is bright spot in a young year already going to shit, and thankfully there is a second Babel Fishh & James P Honey EP also to be released in the coming months.
