Jesse Dangerously

Halifax rapper, now residing in Ottawa, Jesse Dangerously released his first cassette in 1996 and in early 2011 dropped his sixth album (and first book) Humble & Brilliant. The new album is his first fully self-produced project in eight years and there is something about rapping over your own beats that can bring you to a whole new level.

Jesse, along with other Backburner crew members recently dropped their first official group album titled Heatwave.

We caught up with Jesse in Montreal earlier this year to capture some live performance and to get to the bottom of his “legend” status.
