Scratch: The Ultimate DJ – First look at the videogame controller

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ - First look at the videogame controller

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ (for Xbox 360 and PS3) will be going head to head this fall against Activision’s upcoming DJ Hero video game and now we have a first look at Scratch’s controller.

The “Scratch Deck” controller is a collaboration between Numark and electronics manufacturer Genius. It allows for realtime turntable mixing, while five promised-to-be-authentic Akai Pro MPC-style drum pads trigger various samples. A crossfader, USB mic and right/left-handed controls round out the options while the game allows players to battle it out “in distinctive urban environments.”

  1. Looks a little more “DJ-esque” than the one for DJ Hero.

Tracklist will make a lot of the difference if one has hiphop and other has more techno or something.

  2. this controller is simple yea but easy to use and more real than those other ones out there. if djs really want something realistic then this is what its going to look like
